This recent Brai style flat roof had many leaks due to the roof seams that kept coming undone in the high heat.

After our Full Fabric Reinforced Roof was put in place there were no leaks. The ponding water here is no match for our HSG which contains the miracle polymer "LIpaCryl." It resists any ponding water which will evaporate within 48 hours of no rain.

I installed the first single ply roofs in Hawaii at the Kukilakila Townhouses in 1983. Carlisle EPDM became the standard for everyone to beat back then. In the last few years they have been overtaken locally by the other brands on our list. Nationally, ThermoPlastic (TPO) and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) systems have taken over the lion's share of the market. The older Carlisle EPDM roofs are black rubber which have aged in our hot Hawaiian sun over the decades. After the factory warranty expires, they can be coated with a white reflective coating to keep them water tight.
